Exhibition of classic buses
The most unique buses were present at the classic vehicle exhibition, organized by the TMB Foundation, Sagalés and ARCA. For the first time, the Tilling-Stevens TS3A was exhibited, the first bus that circulated through the streets of Barcelona, ??restored for the Centenary of the Bus Network. In addition, the following historic vehicles participated in the sample: DODGE Brothers 240, ACLO REGENT III, CHAUSSON, Pegaso 6035A, 6038 and 6420, MAN SD 200 Turístic 2P and NL 202 Jardinera, as well as MB Sprinter 412D.
The following new generation bus models from the TMB fleet were also on display: Man Lyon City E-18, CaetanoBus H2, MAN Híbrid New Lyon City, Irizar i2e, Solaris Urbino and Volvo Unvi 20XX.
Sagalés participated with the vehicles: Pegaso 5226 Obradores, Hispano 12/15, Hispano 15/20, Ford T Pick-up, Ford AA, Chevrolet utility, Setra Seida S10, Mercedes O319, International (Jovi-Buzo) and Pegaso 5024 CS30.
ARCA participated with the vehicles: Pegaso 5062 Tuisa, Pegaso 5064 Casas, Pegaso 6038 and Pegaso 6420 Proto.
Other activities
A reduced version of the Tilling-Stevens exhibition that was being held in the Mercè Sala space was exhibited at the Red de Autobuses Centennial stand, with a video projection of the Tilling-Stevens restoration process in time-lapse.
In addition, there was a point of sale for the three books published.
In the children's area, as every year, the TMB Educa tent was set up with a sheet metal workshop and, as a novelty, a giant puzzle.
Exhibition at the old Borbó depots
Sunday 9 October had a unique moment in autumm to continue discovering the vehicles that are the protagonists of the Centenary of Bus Network.
TMB participated with the Aclo, the Dodge Brothers and the Pegaso 6038 vehicles in the classic vehicle exhibition organized by the Club Clàssics Barcelona Ciutat.
The Borbó depots, popularly known as ‘els Quinze,’ were put into service in 1901 and operated until 2003. An integrated health centre, an old people’s centre and a library nowadays occupy the space where the depots stood.
