The Centenary poster for the Bus Network is also a central element in this commemoration.

TMB got its human team involved by organising a design competition, open to the entire workforce. The rules consisted of presenting original and unpublished works, from which a professional jury selected the winning design.

The selected work managed to capture the essence of the century of history of the bus network. The competition jury valued both the originality of the work and its design and functionality, as well as references to the past, present and future of the city’s bus network.

The winning poster, created by Laura Carrillo, presents an unfinished drawing of the first bus that ran through the streets of Barcelona, the Tilling-Stevens. The design symbolises a start that continues to evolve. It has been used for the communication campaign, with its format adaptated for different supports.
