Classification and advertising systems

The latest updates regarding the supplier classification systems used by TMB.

Under the provisions of RD Law 3/2020 (dated before 4/2/2020, Law 31/2007), tenders published on the contractor's profile must be complemented by participation in the following common systems for supplier classification:

  • Energy rating system, along with other companies in the railway sector, in order to make energy purchases based on an economy of scale that allows a joint approach to be made to the energy market.
  • Classification system for supplies related to supplying buses for the TMB fleet.

TMB uses these systems as a tool for selecting suppliers in restricted and negotiated procedures, a tool that allows them to be registered in an effective, permanently updated, objective and non-discriminatory way, as well as making contracting a sufficiently smooth process. Registering for the Classification Systems is permanently available to any interested supplier.

In addition, TMB will shortly be using other contractual devices provided for by Law 9/2017, such as the Electronic Register of Bidding Companies (RELI) or the Company Classification system of the Advisory Board which complements the Public Service Contract Platform of the Government of Catalonia.
