Due to works on Carrer de Vila i Vilà, the Montjuïc funicular will be out of service from Monday 20 October for approximately 5 months.
Recommended transport to Montjuïc
You can get up Montjuïc by the following means:
- Metro L2 and L3 to Paral·lel. There, take the special bus which runs on the Funicular route with the same operating hours (Monday to Friday, from 7.30 am to 9.00 pm and Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 9.00 am to 8.00 pm).
- Metro L1 and L3 to Espanya. From there take the number 150 bus (Pl. Espanya - Castell de Montjuïc).

On Saturday, October 18th, at 4.15 p.m., the FC Barcelona vs Girona football match will be held at Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys.
There will be two special bus services, one from Plaça d'Espanya and the other from Fira Gran Via between Estadi Olímpic de Montjuïc.
There are several regular bus lines that take you to:
- Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys: lines X3, 13, 23 (only runs on weekdays), 55, 125 and 150 (Pl. Espanya - Castell de Montjuïc).
- Plaça d'Espanya: lines D20, D40, H12, H16, V7, X2, X3, 13, 46, 65, 91, 109 and 150.
- Passeig de la Zona Franca: lines H16, V3, V5, X3, 109 and 125.
You can also get there by subway Metro: get off at Paral·lel station (L2/L3) and then take the Funicular. You can get more information about metro operating hours here. That day the Funicular will run until 10.00 p.m.

From 5 to 8 September, on the occasion of the Santa Coloma de Gramenet 2025 Summer Festival, the neighbourhood will be filled with more than 97 activities for all tastes and audiences, with the significant collaboration of the city's traditional organisations, which will make possible large-scale events such as the inaugural procession, the correfocs (fire runs), the castellera exhibition and the parade of giants and capgrossos (big heads), among others.
