XPRESBus, the new bus fast line service

The line that connects to the city centre more quickly and flexibly.

XPRESBus is the new efficient bus line: it has a higher frequency and makes fewer stops. This line concept designs very agile routes with circulation priority, which allows for faster circulation and a high frequency of passage. It is also aimed at attracting new public transport users.

The lines have a different identification and color than the rest of the lines, which are black.

When they are put into service, they are added to the network along with proximity, conventional and high-performance lines.

 

Line X1

In September 2021, the X1 line entered service, the first of the XPRESBus.

The X1 line, with a frequency of 8 minutes and few stops, connects the Llobregat and Besòs tram terminals with the heart of Eixample in 10 minutes.

The departures of the first commercial services of the XPRESBus X1 line are from the stops of origin at Diagonal - Francesc Macià and Mercat dels Encants, next to Plaça de les Glòries.

Line X2

In September 2024, the X2 line entered service.

Line X2 takes you directly from Prat to Barcelona in 25 minutes and also runs on weekends.
The departures of the first commercial services of the XPRESBus X2 line are from the Plaça Espanya stops in Barcelona and Av. Remolar in Prat de Llobregat.
