A metro network of reference in accessibility
Accessibility is a quality factor in public transport services that guarantees the universal right to mobility. It is also an opportunity to improve travel conditions for all people, regardless of their physical, cognitive, sensory, or communication abilities.
Since 1992, we have been working on the construction and renovation of metro stations to ensure accessibility for users. We are progressively adapting the facilities by implementing various technologies, such as the voice navigation system, the construction of routers for blind individuals in stations, and the installation of light-based door-closing devices in more and more trains. We also provide users with a tactile map of the metro network and a Braille guide at TMB's citizen information and assistance points.
We work on various tools to assist users in planning their journeys and also during the trip. For more information, visit the Accessibility Tools section.
