The Barcelona Metro Centenary on the Three Kings Parade
Workers and volunteer workers from TMB were once again the helpers of Their Majesties the Three Kings.
Once again, on the afternoon of January 5th, the streets of Barcelona were filled with thousands of people to welcome the most awaited visit of the Three Kings: Melchior, Gaspar, and Balthazar. Both adults and children greeted the Kings along the route, from the Avenue of Marqués de l'Argentera to the Magic Fountain of Montjuïc. To make it all possible, the Kings once again counted on the collaboration of various workers from TMB.
The 2025 Three Kings Parade consisted of six vehicles and seven floats. The volunteer staff from TMB drove the royal floats, tourist buses, historical buses from the TMB Foundation (Dodge, Aclo, and Chausson), and various mobile platforms. Actors and actresses performed small scenes and stories throughout the route on these vehicles.
The centenary of the metro had a prominent presence in the Barcelona Three Kings Parade. In this special celebration, one of the most emblematic vehicles was the centenary metrobús, a scenic display that caught the attention of many spectators. This vehicle was "decorated" to resemble a metro, in honor of the 100 years of service of the city's metro network.
Inside this metrobús traveled the TMB pages, helpers of the Kings, who, in addition to participating in the show, helped deliver gifts to the children of Barcelona. The reference to the metro's centenary was one of the most praised moments of the parade, showcasing the connection between public transport and one of the city's most significant festivities.
This display also symbolized the speed and sustainability of the metro service, conveying the message of how public transport plays a fundamental role in the city's mobility and in the efficient distribution of gifts during the most magical night of the year.
